I've got a bit of a dilemma. My aunt has asked me to cook a steak pie for my uncle, and being the parsimonious person she is, she didn't give me enough ingredients to make a decent sized pie. So I've been rifling around my Nan's cupboards and I've come across a tin of Winalot Meaty Duos. Nan doesn't have a dog, so she must have had it in for when she's dogsitting or something. Anyway, I've opened the can and I must say I am mightily impressed. The contents of said can are almost indistinguishable from those of a Fray Bentos pie, and since Uncle Barry is only one chromosome away from Ramapithicus, he doesn't have the most discerning palate in the world. Suffice it to say, he wouldn't even notice if I put a can of tesco's value dog meat in there. But I wouldn't sink so low as to put that slop in his pie. Nope, if Barry's going to eat dog food, then only the very best dog food shall he eat. I don't do economy ! So.. should I use the Winalot and just pray to God Almighty that nobody else fancies a slice? Or just stick a couple of extra chopped parsnips in there?

I could always suggest my aunt replaces his cheerios with Brekkies for a more balanced diet.
I am worrying now NoM - what will constitute the gravy? On second thoughts I may not need to know!
