Dogs one vice.

We've got a dog from the USPCA. When it sees other dogs, or horses, on the television it stands in front of the television and barks as loud as it can.

It can be annoying sometimes when you are trying to watch a programme. We cured the problem by squirting them with water everytime they did it. After only a few goes, they stopped. But they can very occasionally forget themselves and do it.
Funniest thing though is when they start looking for the animal behind the telly! Priceless!

icemaiden's cure sounds a good'un. Whatever you do don't reward the dog to distract it and get it to stop or praise it for stopping ! It'll think you're encouraging it and be worse,if that's possible. I think that's cute too, and wouldn't bother, but I'm not living with the dog, almost never watch programmes with dogs or horses in and my lot aren't interested in horse racing ! They get quite upset if a puppy is complaining or a dog is barking or yelping in distress on TV though.
