I wonder if the bloke crossing the bridge was ok...
He stood still for a short while - he had obviously seen the lorry approaching - can't believe he didn't move back pdq

i did'nt see him on the news (tv) this morning but you can see him on here and he just stops, there was no mention of any pedestrians killed tho.

i doubt he had much time to turn once he realised it was going to hit!
a colleague of mine, back in the sixties ,was killed like that, he was the driver, but the bridge was a railway bridge, and when the body of the lorry impacted, it threw the cab upwards, killing him instantly.
With tippers it is very easy to forget that you have left the power take off engaged.
Is there not an indicator in the cab to see that your tipper is up?
No, or there wasn't when i was driving them,
but that was nearly fifty years ago.
