Dangerous pet-toys.

My daughter's Westie has just had to have major surgery costing over �700 to remove an obstruction from his intestine. It seems he was given a toy to play with and, unknown to anyone, swallowed both the eyes which were made of foam. These swelled up inside his stomach and were unable to pass through his body. Very nearly lost him. Needless to say, he now has nothing of that nature to amuse him.
A salutory lesson for my daughter. Luckily, she had pet insurance.

Glad he's ok, I'm amazed though that the pet insurance co didn't welsh on paying as it was toy given to him that caused the problem.

My staffy/alsation (not a small dog) had a similar problem with a so called indestructible plastic chew toy. I didn't have insurance though. Thankfully he's now fine and only chews bones these days!

My daughter had Marks and Spencer Insurance. No quibble.
Would recommend them.

Have you contacted the manufacturer of the toy?  The same reaction would happen in a cat/child, so a really rather dangerous toy, methinks!
