(but only by an inch or two). So if it doesn't depend on age what does it depend on, gnasher? type of shoe? hair colour?
Pardon me for being accurate, but it does NOT depend on age. The "average height of British females" is a single statistic which is calculated by adding the heights of all the females in Britain, and then dividing by the number of how many there are. Presumably what Linz meant is that the average height of British females in the 60 to 70 age group is different from that of the 20 to 30 age group, both of which are different from that of the 0 to 10 age group. Therefore, in answer to the original question, Linz was wrong, Gnasher was correct, and Darth Vader was wrong.
And all of us do not know what the actual answer is.

unless dasutaitis wants spurious results then i would assume you would need to discount baby girls (circa 2 feet), female foetuses (a few inches?), dead women (6 feet under) etc... so i disagree, the age HAS got something to do with it. Actually the question is so ambiguous as to not being able to answer it (now that we're stripping it apart) i mean, do we include female cows? horses? queen bees?....
