XP User Accounts
4 Answers
We've got a family pc, we had just been logging onto 1 admin account, but the kids are downloading so much junk I want to create user accounts. How can I copy everything from the admin desktop over to the new user desktops? Also, how can I get internet explorer into the user accounts?
Thanks in advance.

as for transferring stuff across, goto C:\Documents and Settings\current_account_name, and go into the desktop folder.
there should be all the files you have on the desktop right there. just copy and paste, or cut and paste, after you've created more user accounts to C:\Documents and Settings\new_account_names\desktop

Getting the blue "e" to appear is quite easy, as Windows considers it a default icon. Go to the desktop you want it on, right-click and choose Properties.
Click the "Desktop" tab then "Customise Desktop". Under the "General" tab there is a checkbox in Desktop Items for Internet Explorer. Simply check this box and confirm the settings and voila, you have an IE icon on the desktop.
