My son just asked me what a 'grand slam' is???

Theres 3 grand slams -they are the major tournaments in Tennis.
Thats all i know and its probably wrong anyway lol!
Its the name given to the 4 major tournaments
Wimbledon,The French,United States and Australian opens.

It used to be winning the Australian, French, Wimbledon and American Championships in that order in the same year but now it can be done by winning the four consecutively over two years.

ummmm- a grand slam is a breakfast in Dennys in the US - it has french toast, eggs and bacon - yum

Thank you everyone. I forgot I asked this :-)

I will now go and show him the answers.
ummmm a true Grand Slam is winning the Australian Open, then the French, then Wimbledon, and finally the US in that order. Serena Williams tried to change this as she won the French first and the Australian last....that is a load of crap.
