my air con in a ford Mondeo zetec 1.8 t reg has stopped working. can I check anything or do i need to go to a dealer

If it's not producing Icy cold air, then it sounds as if it needs re-gassing. Best done by your dealer, but shop around for price among any refrigeration engineers in your yellow pages as many do cars as well these days. Worst case scenario is that there may be a leak........... you don't really want to know the rest !!!. Good luck
