Where Can I Go?!!

Any recommendations as to pet friendly places to stay please? I live in Newcastle and it needs to be somewhere easily accessible by train (as I don't drive). Would prefer a hotel as opposed to a cottage. I've thought of the Lakes and Northumberland but happy to travel further afield. Just looking for somewhere for a nice break for 2 or 3 nights.

Can anyone help please?
