If I open a can of soup, I thin it down with a third of a can of water.

But some people prefer it thick.

So ... thick or thin?

"Is Tavore off the mark yet?"

i don't get it!
Make your own soup and then you can make it as thick or as thin as you like. It is so damn easy to make soup - why have any other sort?
Question Author
I'm sorry ... "make" soup ??

Are you nuts?

LOL
About as nuts as watering it down!

Fair comment, AV ... touché
I do like a tasty bouillabaisse.

Me too salla.

It sort of crosses the line from soup into stew, doesn't it.
with grated gruyere or however you spell it.
Mind you, I did get a nasty embarrassing attack of the trots once on Belle Isle... yacht toilet cabins are not made for bad bouts of diarrhoea... No privacy and the walls echo.

Thank you for sharing that with us, Salla ... x
I only like thicker 'cream' of soup:

Heinz Cream of Tomato - Vegetable - Asparagus - Onion, etc.

Can't stand thin watery soups.
P.S. No you're not nuts Lottie!

If you have the time & have your favourite ingredients, then why not make your own?

Although must admit, I never have.
Takes very little time Smudge. Probably about 20 minutes in total and you can have real fun trying out new soups. Much, much better than anything you can buy in a shop and also a great way of using up the odds and ends of veg. Made some parsnip soup only the other day with cumin - stirred in some creme fraiche - delicious!!
Have to admit that Heinz Tomato is very good though!
