Hulu is a website where you can stream/watch tv shows and movies.

Just had a look on the site and it says "for streaming only". What makes you think you can record from it?

Well, I don't know exactly, I searched for it on google and saw that you could do that and I tried some methods as mentioned there, but none works.
This is why I posted the question, I am not sure myself....

First, yes, you can record hulu shows, second you cannot do that with any software and much more with an extension. Why? Because, the files from hulu are not normal, they are not flash videos like other sites, but they are some encrypted files which can be recorded just with software which capture video streaming

Hi, I tried once to download some movies from hulu with the soft I get youtube videos but didn't work, although I found on the internet that it should work, but didn't. So, may be this the reason I couldn't get the movies off, youtube videos are flash videos, right? And, can you give us more details about those software which can capture those encrypted files...

As I told in my previous post, you need to have a screencapturing software. The one I use is Tunebite, it can record movies from hulu and other sites like it by capturing the image and also can download movies and videoclips in flash video, automatically converting the files into the formats need. I searched a little bit about recording shows from hulu and now I know all the thing about this, the hulu files are in rtmpe format, a kind of protection from adobe, and this format can't be just downloaded, like other videos from youtube or other sites where we find flash videos. Hulu shows can be captured with a software which captures video streaming while playing and saves the video stream on your machine.

I was interested too in finding a hulu downloader, because there are some shows I'm missing them all the time and I really like them. So, I started to search a way to record hulu and of course I found many ways to download hulu's shows, but when I tried them, they didn't work, some of them didn't work at all, probably because they just download flash videos and not rtmp. Since, you are talking here about tunebite, I will give it a try also, until now I knew tunebite just for converting protected files and not for recording streaming videos.

Of course there are many hulu downloaders nowadays, but some of them can't download hulu, even they're saying they do. Tunebite hulu downloader is very helpful indeed, because it records hulu's shows and movies and also convert the videos, even to 3gp, so now I have videos on my phone too. Besides this features, it still has any other functions, it downloads youtube videos, myspace videos even record myspace music...

Thanks you a lot for your help guys, first I didn't want to get Tunebite to record hulu shows, because I wanted a free screen recorder..:) I searched a lot and tried some of them until I managed to get a virus on my pc... After reinstalling windows I decided to try tunebite because I knew that it's a reliable software.
First I got the free version, of course, and I downloaded youtube videos and convert the video to avi, mp3, even 3gp. Finally decided to have full access to all its features and now I can use it whatever I want...record hulu shows and movies, save youtube videos on my pc, capture streams from streaming online movies sites, like msn, netflix, mtv and many others, convert youtube videos to avi, 3gp, mp3, wmv etc etc...
