did you go back far craft?
Well ive been married twice -first one hit the rocks and the second one hasnt been a bed of roses but im glad I married both of them as for one I wouldnt have had my children from the first and subsequently the closest 'friend' i could ever have wished for and then with the second-well we just get on each others goat but we are glad we are married as it would have been so easy to throw the towel in during the difficult times and we would have missed the 90% good times :)

So yes I do believe in marriage as it makes you work at a relationship rather than just walk away when the going gets tough -but thats just my take on my personal circumstances.
Nar, im sure it wont.

The meaning of a marriage might change (already has?) to some, but the bride to be will always want "The Day"

;-)
sorry cazzz...........I got back to 1802 so it was a pretty straight forward one. I don't charge for my time.......people just pay for the certificates which they get to keep, as this is confirmation of the information supplied in the actual tree.
I don't think it's any easier to throw the towel in if your in a long term relationship rather than a marriage. Besides,it it can't be that hard, divorce is rather common so it doesn't seem to hold people together any more.
Will marriage cease to be what. ?
no
marriage is old fashioned,it used to carry a stigma many years ago to have children out of wedlock, now it doesn't matter ,if you love each other i don't see what good a piece of paper makes.unless your a very insecure.
BTW -my second marriage was just me and my husband the janny and someone off the admin side in the Registrars.H just went back to work as per on the Sunday night -no straw hats and trumpets and there hasnt ever been an acknowledgement from either side if the family that 12yrs down the line we are still married apart from the kids.
So it was our day but no-one elses and no-one knew about it until after.Very intimate and personal..We did get a couple of pressies and a few cards which was lovely but thats not why we did it.Wouldnt marry again tho -too complicated now what with all the bleeding financial stuff and things -who said romance as dead ??
