Anyone taking levothyroxine - can you help?
5 Answers
Hi
Am taking levothyroxine, was on 200mcg a day but hospital have increased by 25mcg a day.
(very long story but this is due to wanting to suppress by TSH due to thyroid cancer).
However, since starting the increased dose (about 5 days now) I have had a constant headache, even my eyes ache!!
Do you think this is coincidence?
I have an appt with my GP on Tues on will enquire then but just thought I would ask.
Thanks

You are on more than twice the dose i am on, that seems a very high dosage. But in a situation like yours where it is being used for a different process of treatment maybe it is necessary. When you return to the hospital you should let them know .
