conjunctivitis in dogs

Hi everyone. My dog seems to get conjuctivitis quite often, well he's had it twice in 6 months. I take him to the vets and get the eye salve for it but was wondering if anyone had any tips of do's and don'ts to help prevent this?. I was thinking of giving him a vitamin supplement. He gets fed dry food only and no "human" food at all. I have a feeling he got it from a young dog he was playing with in the park the other week because they had so much fun and he was covered in saliva after in his face. - Do you know if this could've done it?

I hope that even though this is a product from the U.S., maybe you can purchase it from their website, or find something similar....also, I do not have any personal experience with conjuntivitis, so I really can't recommend this product or anything else in particular.....Just wanted to try and help, good luck!
