The money from Live 8 ....

Hi everyone, hope this doesn't sound daft but where did the money from Live 8 go? Was all of it used to pay off thirld world debt?

Some artists are donating the money they made from extra album sales because of the event but it wasnt done for money, none was used to pay off 3rd world debt

live 8 wasnt about raising money it was about raising awareness of the g8 meeting. money from tickets and things went into paying for the event. live aid was about raising money. one question is why is no real public awarenes being made of the current Niger crisis?

Much of the money raised from the ticket lottery went to the Princes Trust, who cancelled a charity concert to allow the Live8 one to go ahead.

How was money made from the ticket lottery?  the only money that people paid for the tickets was for postage

Live Aid was about money Live 8 is not hence the saying 'we dont want your money, we want you!' live 8 was about putting your name down on a list and this list was sent to the 8 most powerfull leaders in the world trying to persuade them to wipe out 3rd worl debt, but this was kinda over shadowed by 7/7 terror attacks which just goes to show charity starts at home, why are we tring to sort out other peoples country when we should focus on our own.
