pfff....six months and a bit of litter picking? sentence should have been harsher. that's the problem with this society you can do some pretty horrific things and get a slap on the wrist. my son was mugged of his bike but the police refused to press charges as the bloke had mental health problems (before anyone starts, i am a psych nurse). so, threatening behaviour, abh and theft means no punishment. drf - its good that the case turned out they way it did, but i say he should have got 3-4 years for that kind of offence(pi$$ed or not - i've never done anything like that when i'm pickled!). much love x
I was reckoning on at least 20 out of 10. No doubt the two thugs will appeal, for loss of earnings or similar.

Mr Severs had his ear severed.

Good job he wasn't called Mr Hardkickinthebollocks.
The guy deserves a medal, some form of payment from public coffers and a big thank you from public in general and the legal system in particular.

British 'justice' has flannelled over such scum for years, dismally failed to award adequate sentences thus recent high profile cases such as this prove how far people will go and what desperate measures they'll take when their family/property is threatened and what depths they have to reach in order to protect themselves.

Just a shame he wasn't able to continue through to the opposite ear!
