Hi, i have a 1978 lotus esprit - it was recently used as a ramp by an izuzu truck. basically, the gist of it all is that my car has been written off as a cat c with a vic marker set on it.

i'm fine with this, i'm not ever going to sell this car but i would like to know whether the cat rating will come off the logbook after it has been tested by vosa. i am aware that it will stay on dvla records forever, but i just wondered if anyone else had had a similar situation, and if this rating comes off the logbook, or if not, how it is shown on it.

any help would be fantastic!

thanks

Once a car has passed a VIC, the V5C issued will be annotated to show ‘substantially repaired and/or accident damaged; identity checked on dd/mm/ccyy’.
