In the Balamory title song each character is shown with their part of the song ie. here is Miss Hooly to tell us a story, etc. So why is Archie shown with the words - Clever and arty with Benjamin Barty? It's driving me mad!!!

I think you might be mishearing, "he's ever so clever and ever so arty" for "Clever and arty with Benjamin Barty" :)

Check the link below for a karaoke version to sing along to http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/balamory/josie/balamorykar aoke/index.shtml

hope that helps :)

I apologise sideymum - my 'puter finally caught up. It's - inventing with archie he's ever so clever and ever so arty. Thank you for your help. I have now retained my sanity. My son is no longer banned from watching the show!
Oh wow .... thank you so much for posting that link. My 20 month daughter adores Balamory and whilst we've visited the CBeebies website before to "play" with the Teletubbies, I hadn't realised there was Balamory karaoke ...... she's going to love it ! ( .... even if the rest of the family doesn't)

Ah!

It's always sounded like

"run to the castle, inventing with Archie,He's ever so clever and ever so wargy"

to me.
