Time was when flight attendants/air hostesses were required to be young and lovely. That's no longer the case. Be aware the hours can be demanding, with many 12 to 14 hour days, late nights, weekend duty. The training is rigourous and is difficult in that the language is rife with abreviations and acronyms that are truly different. As a pilot for many years, I find that the cabin safety crews (currently preferred label) generally like the work, but each stated that is was difficult at the beginning.
