My partner has been suffering with chest pain, back and ribs, main is chest feels like tight and bit hard to breath and becomes sighs. Muscle pain when coughing, sneeezing, lifting, movement, stopped gym cos of that. He got Acid Refux but he knows what its like. Could it be Costochondritis?

It has been like that for 2 years now.
Waiting for the letter for an appointment to see Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and also Pain Clinic, it could take 3-4 weeks.
Does your chest pain when you lifting, coughing, sneezing?
Recent result of x-ray spine is normal. Result of x-ray ribs still not come thru. Both tested same time, but wonder why it takes longer than spine?
Apart from it, GP finally diagnosed Acid Reflux in April 2008.
At times i told him it must be Acid Reflux causes the pain but he said no, as he knows what it feels like because it wasn't pain when was lifiting, movement, till after op he had last March 2009 for remove Gallstones.

If ive got the pain before i attempt to lift anything then the pain gets worse and radiates down my left arm, ive had mine for 10yrs plus now and seems to be getting worse and more regular. Ive had xrays on my back and chest, my chest was normal, but they found thining of my spine at the lower end, also the top of my neck, wether this is anything to do woth it or not im not too sure.
Finally Physiotherapist confirmed that he has got Costochondritis. It takes jus over 2 years...! Today was third visit to Physio. Was adviced to exercise a little and go out for a walk daily. Also was told to try TENS, Deep Heat and hot water bottle to see if it helps. Unfortunately can't take Nurofen cos of Acid Reflux. So what is alternative? Have tried Paracetamol but hasnt helped. Thanks
