the 'chicken' consumed are young cockerels (12w) reared on supplements to enhance growth for table. I've never known them castrated as they're too young. I've never known an adult cockerel castrated; that would mean an internal op. I've never seen any balls when preparing a bird for cooking. There's only the 'popes nose' but thats for tail feathers.

Tullia2....I am fasting after all I've eaten tonite. However, now my curiosity is up - I'll have to research this conundrum.

Another problem....why do cows have four teets when they only have one calf?
