I am currently a ‘credit card tart’, balance transferring to 0% as and when required. By playing your cards right, you can effectively get a loan for 3% p.a. (the transfer fee) which will beat any loan hands down.

I was recently refused by the Post Office (what a cheek), but have successfully transferred to Nationwide. Check out MoneySavingExpert.com for advice and the best deals. Given that I have tarted around 4 times now, you should have no problem with a good credit rating. Be aware that each cc application is noted on your credit file – and will affect your credit score.
