Hi
I am thinking about replacing one of my CH Rads. The existing one is in Imperial measurements (shows how old it is !!) and is 54" long (137cms) by 21" high(530cms) and has pipe centres of 1440 cms. Does anybody know where (or even if!) I can get one to replace this old one, without having to alter the pipework. A tall request I imagine, but maybe somebody can help.
Many thanks

it's the length thats the real issue. the height only affects if you need to decorate behind it or not.
I've changed every rad in the house over the last 15 years and only had 1 problem with a really long one in the hallway.
do a google search on rads with those sizes. if it's close to the right size, you can get a small adaptor to fit the pipe wrok, but only about 5mm on each end.
Hi Munchie
Many thanks for your advice. Have scoured the web for a suitable rad but most sizes will, I think, necessitate some re-piping - if that's the right term !! Thanks again

go to your local plumbers merchant (a real one not b&q or homebase) give them your measurements and ask them for a rad thats as close as possible to the old one.
