Was this the right decision, should all books based on conspiracy theories also be banned?

After all they could also be accused of writing lies, it is all dependant what point of view is taken.

No one knows for definite of cause aog, but don't you think this is highly likely?
or not?
Gromit....what jury? There has never been a trial.

Merit in his account?...how do we know without reading it?

We will have to agree to disagree Gromit

Gromit

In the time honoured fashion of Labour, we should have a "public enquiry" on it

Now let's see who can Labour choose to chair this?
well as the policenman he didn't charge them, so i guess it would not go to trial and his 'account' is meaningless.
ankou..."didn't charge them" doesn't mean they are not guilty.

How can you say that his account is "meaningless" when we haven't seen it? Clearly Police officials have seen it and believe that there is not enough evidence for a conviction.......but that doesn't make it "meaningless"
Prince Philip would have the right to sue the writer of any book that claims he had Diana killed. (Whether he bothers to or not is up to him.)
Quinlad...only if the accusations were unsubstantiated.
it is meaningless in respect of a book and a conviction.

all it can serve to do is cause hurt and harm to the mccanns and those close to madeliene. if he really believed what he says in his book, then he should have done something about it while he could. not try to make some money on it afterwards.
As I understand it the book has not been banned. The judge has merely upheld the temporary injunction preventing publication.
ankou...the idea of writing a book, was not to get a conviction.

He did present his report to the superiors, but they didn't believe him.
..because he had no proof ?
Oh NoMercy

/// As doctors... they know the dangers of overdoses, and as such, are extremely unlikely to administer a fatal dose of medicine ///

Extremely unlikely maybe, but not impossible. If you follow the news, doctors have been known to accidentally administer overdoses quite often.

/// Madeleine was kidnapped ///

You know this for certain do you, or is it the conclusion you yourself have come to?

On one hand we have people saying that the police officer has no evidence to base his claims on, and on the other hand we have people who say that Maddy was abducted, but they have no evidence of this either!
I think the book was quite rightly banned, there is no evidence as to what happened to that little girl! The only thing we know for sure is that she is the only victim in this story!
