Firstly Seamus = James  &  Sean = John.

I do not know of a straight equivalent of  the Arabic name Muhammed (or its variants) however if you do go the 'meaning of the name' route, which is "praised one", this leads us to the Hebrew Judah (also Jude or Judd).

I cant remember the Gk for praise, the Latin is laudo.

Of which there isnt a name - but he could go for a pun - Lordy ! Perhaps not.

The Chinese just give up and take a Western name.

Oh, what about Benedict ?

Aineo is a Greek word transliterated for 'praise' and gives the name Aeneas.

Also St. Jude was known as Thaddeus.

Ludovic and assorted cognate names - Ludwig, Louis, Lewis - have something like 'renown' at their root.
