How do i dispose of paint correctly

Got a few tins of old paint lying around and i just wanted to know the correct way to dispose of it.

I'm pretty sure they have a seperate section at the local dump for things like paint, oil, car batteries etc

I am not sure which area you live in but most local authority dumps accept paint. If you know what local council area you are in look up their website via google or similar search engine and look at enviroment/recycling this should list your local refuse facility and a contact number and possibly a list of things they can take.

And if the dump/tip doesn't take it, phone the council, tell them you don't want to pollute the area by pouring it down the drain and ask what you can do with it instead. I'm 99% sure they'll have a solution PDQ.
