i'm at work though i have a choice of fruit salad, tuna sarnie, or chorizo and chilli crisps --- alll nice but none that quite fill the egg longing, ah well least i know what i'm having for tea now!
Easy... for a medium-sized egg, place in a pan of COLD water, bring to the boil, then turn off the heat. Leave in the water for 1 minute, then run under cold water to stop cooking. Voila - the perfect soft-boiled egg!
As for the peeling part, that's all down to the quality and freshness of your egg. Cheap-as-chips eggs are notoriously difficult to peel.
COOKS - save money on expensive egg timers by simply dropping your egg into boiling water then getting in your car and driving off at exactly 60 mph. After 3 miles ring your wife and get her to take the egg out of ther pan. Hey Presto, perfect boiled eggs!
