am i missing something here but how can you turn a jpeg into an mpeg ? surely they are 2 entirely different things ie one is an image file and the other is a media  file

Sorry, Matt, didn't read his question fully. I use it mainly for converting BMP to Jpeg.

I think I know what you�re trying to do. Are you trying to convert your digital or standard pictures (jpeg) into a slideshow that could be played on your d.v.d player? If so, download Nero. The Nero program can convert jpegs into VCD, or SVCD, depending on what you want.

Once you download Nero, go to Nerso express, click on VCD, or SVCD, and then choose the select images (jpeg, gif, bmp).

VCD Easy could also be used. Has features to convert normal jpg files to an mpeg (vcd or svcd) file for a slideshow.

or just use something like pictures to exe:

if you want to do more than just slideshows (record films in vcd format etc.) try VCD Easy. otherwise, picturesToExe is excellent for making slideshows.
