How can i get this back?

Had my laptop sorted as it was playing up,back in fact to factory status and when i get .pps pictures sent to me i cant access them anymore, what can i do to rectify this!

pps are Microsoft Powerpoint files.

You either need Microsoft Office (which you have to pay for)

Or OpenOffice (which is free)

Or the Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer (which is free)

They're Powerpoint files. To view them you need to have Powerpoint (expensive) or Powerpoint Viewer (free) installed.

If you've got Powerpoint available on a disk, simply reinstall it.

If not, download and install the free Powerpoint Viewer:

On a trial with office downloaded powerpoint and i still cant see the pics

Are you trying to open them when they in an email attachment? If they are, save to desktop. Double click on them. If Powerpoint still does not open them, right-click on each pps file and select Open With. Then select Microsoft Powerpoint from the list and tick the box that says "Always use the selected program to use this kind of file."
