What does "SORN not due" mean
8 Answers
I have just made a DVLC vehicle enquiry about a motor-car that is being used on the road. The vehicle status gives this message ... anyone tell me what it means? Should the vehicle be on the road?

Im fairly sure the vehicle cannot be driven on the road unless it is on the way to a MOT garage & has a prebooked appointment for the test or something to shop the police if they pull you over. you still need the usual insurance, tax & valid licence or you will be in trouble. SORN means--- Statutory Off Road Notice. You would normally apply for one of these for your car if you decide to take it off the road for a while or do not intent on renewing the road tax. I hope this helps.....
