I am 16 years old and probably one of the most mature teens! my mom has never been a mom she has never cared what i did, and now after all this time she wants to be a mom and tell me what i can and cant do! what do i do? i wanna move out and live with my boyfriend he is 22 and has his own house! My mom will not allow this! She lets us be together and was letting me stay with him and him stay with me! About a week ago she is coming out with this *** saying i cant anymore! My parents have been split up since i was about 7 or 8 maybe before that! i took care of my lil brother which just turned 15 on valentines day! My dad is a drunk and my mom was on the road with her bf at the time! she didnt come see us or send us money! we stayed with my dad and his chick friend at the time! About 2 years ago i moved back in with my mom! Ever since then things have gotten worse for me! i really think i can do better on my own with my boyfriend! But i wanna know if i can move out on my own legally without having to listen to do what she says! By the way i live inh florida! soon to be Georgia!

My daughter did and she is no aged 30 and tells me sorry every time she can, though our family life was not turbulent like yours. Could you afford a rental property and to pay bills etc.. think it through before you make a rash decision.

At the age of 16 you have the right to leave home and never have any contact with your parents again. (I'm not recommending that course of action; I'm simply stating the legal position).
If a 16 year old 'disappears' from home, and their parents report them as "missing", the police are prohibited from revealing the whereabouts of that person to their parents unless the young person gives their permission.
So it follows that you have every right to move out to live with your boyfriend. (Again, that's a statement of the law, not a recommendation).

My daughter was 16 when she moved in with her boyfriend & his parents who lived nearly 200 miles away. He was older than her and made her life a misery - jealous, possessive etc. It lasted for 18 months until she finally had to admit it wasn't going to work. So, whilst it's legal and your boyfriend might not be like hers (he was amazing to her at the beginning) just be very sure this is what you want. How old are you now if you don't mind me asking?
hope this helpppsss. : ) xxx
