Does anybody know of how to make a tasty hamburger without putting an egg into it. Tried to get Gino D'Acampo's recipe from yesterday's This Morning but just gives video and with my being deaf cannot follow it. Thanks in anticipation of replies.

Gino D’Acampo: Delicious beef burger with sundried tomatoes in a crunchy ciabatta.
Phil and Holly go head to head with Gino with their burger recipes - which one will you go for?
Serves – 4
Ingredients
450g of lean minced beef
1 ciabatta bread (cut in half and grilled)
50g mixed salad leaves
30g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
4 sundried tomatoes in oil (drained and finely chopped)
1 egg (beaten)
2 teaspoons of thyme leaves (finely chopped)
1 clove of garlic (peeled and finely chopped)
50g of fresh breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons of olive oil for brushing
flour for dusting
salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. In a large bowl, mix together the minced beef, thyme, breadcrumbs, sundried tomatoes, garlic and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper and pour in the beaten egg to bind the mixture.
2. Lightly flour the palm of your hand and start to shape the meat mixture into 4 balls. Gently press each ball between your hands creating a burger shape.
3. Brush each burgher with a little oil and cook on a very hot griddle pan for 4 minutes on each side.
4. Once ready, divide the salad leaves between the open ciabatta and serve the hot burgers on top.
5. Serve with a tomato and onions salad.

that AWT burger recipe is not the one I had in mind...the original is a lot simpler.
about 12 oz lean beef steak mince or good mince with fat in if you like it a bit tastier
a tablespoon of tomato ketchup
about a teaspoon of so sauce to taste
a shake of worcester sauce if you like it.
put it all in a bowl and use you hands to squidge all the ingredients together until they are like soft putty and all combined.
shape into burgers with your hands and squidge together then chill in the fridge. Dont allow them to touch, you can stack them interleaved with cling film or foil. cook the same day they are made.
