I have in my fifties undertaken a distance learning degree and there is an element of economics included. A question asked was "some property investors are income led and some yield led - discuss"
I can find explanations as to what a yield is but not why some people might be income driven and others yield driven - Can anyone in AB land help me with some direction on this????

Thanks

Isn't it obvious?

Someone who is income driven is more interested in the month by month business of making enough to pay their buy to let mortgage, assuming they have one and presumably having a bit left over to do what they want with.

Someone who is yield driven is interested in the long term profits from owning property.
