Wolfram is another name for Tungsten chemical symbol Tn
The chemical symbol is W, or at least it always used to be; when did it change?
My appologies bibblebub the symbol is indeed W, Tn is just an abbreviation

Thanks paddywak and bibblebub.
The answer is clearly intended to be Wolfram (that's what I've put) but I can't find any reference that gives tn as an abbreviatiom for tungsten, even though that is the clue's intention.
Bibblebub- I have found this jewellers site where Tungsten rings are given the letters Tn.
http://www.risingtime.com/
There may be other examples but I haven't looked
Thanks for that - I don't have anything to do with jewellry, is that abbreviation common knowledge?
Sorry, don't know anything about jewellery either. But I have done a search on google for Tungsten Tn and it did throw up some academic papers where Tungsten is abbreviated to Tn. I'm not sure why though when there is a perfectly good symbol W.
