carabint I am looking, I have worked since I was 14 so would love to have a job. I was made redundant from a job I had been at for 14 years!

my friend was made redundant recently but she is still setting her alarm for 7am - she says she maybe doesnt hurry out bed so much but does get out early for a walk or to the gym. She is doing a european computer driving licence in modules through a local college. She was giving funding for this due to her unemployment so is setting aside a period each day to do that and also job hunt online. Are there any courses you could be doing. My friend has years of experience but not much in the way of qualifications on paper so will look to do another course after this if work does not turn up. She is also visiting job agencies - is a bit disillusioned at the moment though, I very much sympathise with you. Fingers crossed something will turn up for you soon.

you have to be unemployed for 6 months before can do a course. maybe I should still set my alarm and do some exercise thats a goos idea, although have recently sold car so walking lots lately
Yeh I think she must have reached the 6 month period then - sorry, hope it does not go on that long for you.
well if you don't want to spend money when you are out take ,enough money for a drink and a snack (or take one with you) leave your purse in the house ,just go to town for a walk while there have a look and see if there is anybody advertising for vacancies ....i don't know what kind of work you have been doing but anything is better than just sitting about (that is the worst thing you can do)

hope you find something soon xx
ah but you got to watch the latest Paranormal Thrill Seekers episode! Thats got to be worth a day of unemployment :)
How about some temp.work my friend ended up with a full time job after
doing temping , so it could be worth a try ..It could pay off ...
