Poll shock for Tories - still behind in marginals
// Labour and the Conservatives are almost level in their battle for the marginal seats which will determine which party wins the general election, according to a new poll.
In the key marginal seats, Labour is still just ahead, on 38.2 per cent, down from 45.3 per cent in the 2005 election. The Tories are on 37.6 per cent, up from 31.4 per cent. //

Isn't it strange that with about 7 weeks to a General Election, the Tories still haven't revealed most of their policies?

However the Leader's Debate I think will determine where many votes will reside. As a Tory voter at heart (unfortunately having voted Blair in) I see Cameron as our next defining Leader. This Country needs him to clear Labour's mess.
garmard. I had considered the lib-dems as some of their councils seem to do a good job but then I remember how they supported the last failing Labour government .Their strong support for prison reform in which they say half the present prison population should be released if they promise to be good. They oppose all life sentences. They want amnesty for illegal immigrants. They support the Human Rights act despite the abuses. For full details read their spokesmen Clarke and Campbell.

The Conservative Manifesto is still in Draft. Still full of holes at the moment.

Yes Gromit some of it has and I'm not keen on some of their future implementations but I am not voting Labour and upon suggestions here in the News section to read the BNP Manifesto - I am definitely not voting that. I have never voted Libdem or side Parties and still have faith in Cameron. He is slow but he is flexible and I think he will 'grow' into the job once he's there - I like him.
