After the disaster of last Christmas when we didn't get to Portugal courtesy of EasyJet, the four of us are now looking for a 'place in the sun' for this year so we chose Lanzarote, but when I have enquired about Villa rentals, they hike the price up £200 if you go on the 23rd Dec/????but go on the 26th and that's £200 less,
just what constitutes a £200 extra cost for those 3 nights?

No boxy, these Villas are vacant for that period

it's a school holiday thing. if you go on the 26th you probably couldn't get back for the new school term.

I am flabergasted they want this kind of money because of Christmas, is there a pot of gold waiting under a tree then?
Well that's my answer not right then - how odd, if they are empty you'd think they'd be glad to fill them, not charge extra! It's a bit like fares always going up during the school holidays, or train fares costing more in the rush hour when people have no choice about travelling.
