Last year (October) i purchased new sofa on ny credt card, from a store. They advised me it would take 28 days to deliver...so that was ok, a month later, no sofa, so i phoned for an update, to be told it wasnt in stock, several more days later and still no update, I phoned again, their customer services told me to expect soda delivery 3rd week in december ! Unhappy with service i went and cancelled sofa, over the phone..all ok until i contacted my cc company to check the refund had not been done - went along in person to store whom refunded monies back to cc. All ok, i got my cc statement though to find 2 x refunds ! ! It is now March and I have since changed credit card due to fradulent use....can the store demand the overpayment in refund back after all this time....even though the original cc is no longer.?? Am I obliged to phone the store to tell them they have over refunded me, or keep quiet ?
