My husband and I have never missed an episode (we sky+ and skip out the adverts)
I love all the characters and Hugh Laurie's accent is so convincing, My American friend said you would think he was an American. It was so funny on Sunday night, when House and Wilson both fancied the same woman and Wilson came into the restaurant declaring his love for House !!

An excellent programme and Hugh Laurie is quite superb in the role. Incidentally, as he says in one episode, an anagram of Gregory House is HUGE EGO, SORRY - just thought 'd mention it.
Also, For his portrayal, Laurie assumes an American accent. Laurie was in Namibia filming Flight of the Phoenix and recorded the audition tape for the show in the bathroom of the hotel, the only place he could get enough light. His US accent was so convincing that executive producer Bryan Singer, who was unaware at the time that Laurie is English, pointed to him as an example of just the kind of compelling American actor he had been looking for. Laurie also adopts the accent between takes on the set of House, as well as during script read-throughs and when Stephen Fry lunched with him while he was filming, he still maintained his accent during the meal something Stephen thought very amusing.
