She got off because a House of Lords clerk said an MP only had to visit a residence once a month and they could designate as their main residence, it's up to them and being as that could not be disproved. That would make a prosecution impossible.
Let's face it that whole bunch of criminals are going to largely get away with it, after all they and their stoogies made the rules in the first place.
