I think she's trying to hold back the tears & keep her emotions in check looby (pity it doesn't work)
Her eyes darting from side to side is quite freaky.
Why is it in soaps that the accused can never explain their version of events properly and have the story twisted by the police, or is that for real.

I thought Deidre was bad enough when she was locked up for the pilot's murder - with all that neck stretching, google eyes and bulging neck veins. But she was at least funny - Gail is just irritating and pathetic.
