croutons

Hello All. Recently someone posted a recipe for croutons but I seem to have lost it.I know you can buy ready made croutons but the aforementioned recipe sounded rather tasty and so I would like to try it. I think it was to be done in a microwave oven. Thanks for any help. S.O.G

how did you get on with the croutons sad old git?

me, well i nearly set fire to the microwave!!
think id left it too long for the pinger to ping and they were smoking! - literally!
and my goodness, what a stink! - had to open the back door to let some air in and switch the extractor fan on pretty damn quick!
i managed to salvage a couple of crispy bits and they tasted errm.. okaaay, sort of, lol ..
but the rest were just charcoal remains that had to be chiseled off the saucer!

Hi Looby. I guess I had better luck than you but only because I litterally watched the croutons as they cooked but I agree with you it is so easy to burn them....Anyway L. hope you have better luck next time....S.O.G.
