credit card deposit

Hi I have just come back from Spain I hired a car from sol who took a deposit from my account of three hundred pounds. I was told this would be returned as soon as the car was returned as yet I have recieved nothing how long should I wait untll I start to chase them Thanks x

I wouldn't wait. No harm in chasing them straight away.

Usually what happens is that the credit card slip (or a reversed transaction if it has actually been processed) is returned to you as the point you deliver the car back in again. How come this didn't happen?
You've now got the hassle for chasing for money in a foreign country. Start immediately - could be a long haul.
