Electric toothbrush in bathroom
4 Answers
I had the above using a normal electric plug socket until told it was unsafe without an RCCB. I now have a new curcuit board and want to know the best attachment. The spur circuit is connected to a switch outside the bathroom.

It can be fitted as a spur. Note that there two types of shaver sockets still (I think) - those to BS EN 60742 with an isolating transformer and those without. So note what Heathfield is saying to you.
Also, since this involves electrical work in the bathroom it must either be done by an electrician who can self-certify the work or a Part P Building Regs application is required
