Why doesn`t my printer show that I have renewed my colour refill unit please? I have a Canon MP220.

Is it a recycled cartridge with a chip on it? Sometimes the chip on recycled cartridges has not been reset. The chip is used to pass information to the printer/pc about it's status.

If it's an original cartridge, check you have installed it correctly. Sorry I cannot be more help but I don't have this model of printer.
