Does anybody know the true name of a baby or young Salmon?

Well, baby fish are generally called fry, and young salmon are called parr. See

Young salmon are called ALEVINS & remain in gravel nests until they absorb their yolk sacs. Once they emerge from the gravel they are known as FRY.

alevin, fry, parr, smolt, grilse and salmon.
