nice guys never succeed in football
Yes i´m talking about Steve Staunton. You look at the most successful managers in the game today and since time began. eg cloughie, ferguson, elbow wegner, martin o ´neill. i could´nt visualise these people entering the dressing room and saying, bad luck lads, try harder in 2nd half. a good example was martin o ´neills choice words at 1/2 time in the villa v reading cup game.

Is that the same Ron Saunders that managed to get West Brom and Birmingham City relegated from the top division in the same season???
The same Ron Saunders who sold Steve Bull to the Wolves for £30,000 because he said his first touch was no good?
His 2nd touch usually ended up in the net!
He may have been a nice bloke to Aston Vanilla fans
