Are Proton cars still in business in this country?. I haven't seen any ads for them for some time and wonder if they have fallen by the wayside due to the recession. I have one which is 15 years old and is still going strong and has never let me down which is more than I can say for some more popular .models.

Sadly some brands are too often overlooked because they dont have the correct badge, truth is there is nothing wrong with them

Thank you both for your replies, greatly appreciated.
the recession hasn't hit Malaysia - Brit tourism is down but replaced by E.europeans & russians.

Have you been to Malaysia sog - you can live off the land; abundant fish & fruit on trees is a constant. Just drop a melon pip & it's fruiting in 3m.

Hi Tamborine. Yes I have been to Malaysia, I lived and worked there for awhile quite a few years back which was when I was introduced to Proton cars. I found the people very friendly and the country pleasant...I didn't find an abundant of fish or fruit on trees; I found more of that in the jungles of Borneo but that's another story.
