google home view??

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what this google homeview is all about?...also I tried to to view my street but no pictures come up when i move the orange little man to the street!

I thought I'd got away with it, when I put my postcode in the opposite side of the road appears....then I discovered you can turn 360 degrees!!
