Merseyside police are putting police armed with water canon in Liverpool city centre this weekend,
No, not to stop a riot but to turn them on anyone they see urinating in the street !!!!!
apparently it's a growing problem there

and girls you had better cross those legs of yours till you see a proper place to wee...

Many a times we've been and the only things open are a couple of arcades on the front and the odd chippy.
Know any cheap nice places to stay? Not booked anything as we're hoping to grab one that looks ok when we get there, but im a bit worried with it being Easter weekend too.
Bobbs- apologies for going off on a tangent.

jackthehat is right, it is part of the bigger picture. If the drunks and urinaters weren't there in the first then neither would the Police, they would be elsewhere solving crimes. Anyway putting plod on the street to stop people peeing is hardly new. "exposing ones person" relates back to the UK vagrancy act dated 1824.

I can recommend this hotel.
It's between Central and South Pier, very clean and friendly;15 mins from Pleasure Beach and 20 mins from town centre. Pubs nearby are, in the main, cheaper than town centre.
Or would you like something a little more central ?

Probably Jack- we're taking the car (obviously) but we're hoping to dump it in wherever we stays carpark, so more central would be better.
Place does look nice though, in a chintzy sort of way- heh. By the way, can't work it out, is that "thing" in the photo, bottom left, a real dog or a toy?
I'm beginning to feel guilty for hijacking Bobbs thread, i'll grab you elsewhere jack, thanks for looking for us xx (and ruin that thread instead- rofl)
